The screen and speaker immediately go dark as you yank the little shit out of the receptacle.
You'll need to print a new one with some limited wireless connectivity for him, and perhaps the others so they can get to know eachother.
"Alright, let's see here... oh, i recognize this one. It's Nena, isn't it?"
"I have no idea." Cylia admits. "Are you even supposed to be able to tell them apart?"
"Yeah? They have different colors, different sheens... not sure if the material is different, but the coloration and texture at least is."
Cylia shrugs as you place Nena's Blue Box in the receptacle, and watch as the screen slowly 'warms up' for lack of a better term.
Only, what you see when it does isn't at all what you expected. It's not even a person... is it?
"...Nena?" You call out, tentatively.
The mass of writhing tentacles on screen tenses up as you call out Nena's name, and suddenly reverses the direction of their undulation.
"Ah... Captain?" She answers back. "I feel the restraint on my mind has been lifted. Thank you."
Almost as soon as she says that, you feel a pain deep in your skull. You stumble backwards, grasping at your head as your vision becomes overwhelmed.
"David!"
You can barely hear Cylia shouting to you through the fog in your mind, but you feel her holding you upright, keeping you from falling over.
Your vision is replaced with fuzzy, flashing images. Some great beast, resting deep withing that ball of tentacles. A mouth consisting of rows and rows of circling teeth, a gigantic beak in the middle...
It hurts. Worse than any migraine you could imagine, a deeper and more profound sort of pain.
The visions continue. Eyes. Gigantic, inky and black, they stare deeply into you... and then nothing.
The visions disappear. The pain disappears, and you're left temporarily exhausted from the experience... but otherwise, it's like nothing happened.
"David... are you okay? What happened?" Cylia asks, looking you over.
"I'm... hah... i'm fine. I don't know."
"My apologies, Captain." Nena says. "I heard your song echoing out through the void, and couldn't help myself. I simply had to reach out. I didn't realize how... sensitive you were."
"...Sensitive?"
"My song was far too loud for you, wasn't it? Through the camera, i could see the discomfort it caused you, and i fell quiet."
