>>6061894>>6061906>DOLPH LUNDGREN as a cyber priestI guess one of the few misfires from William Gibson (also reading his Peripheral novels, and not just Neuromancer Burning Chrome etc) he envisioned a lot of technoreligion in the cyber future (maybe due to his upbringing?) I guess I don't see as much of that in the secularism of today, whereas a lot of his other predictions basically happened or were intentionally adopted as blueprints by futurists / tech visionaries (lol, Neuromancer even predicted dubstep / Skrillex soundtrack of that Syndicate 2012 remake videogame lol, William Gibson had those space station Jamaicans??) I think what happened instead of the Gibson televisual / cyberevangelical technoreligion cults is that the ethos of religion transposed itself, its metaphors and ideology manifested in alternate movements eg environmentalism is explicitly religious, it is like the Garden Of Eden metamorphosed etc, survivalism is also founded on eschatological type / apocalyptic belief, so too the technosingularity type beliefs in superhuman AI etc) people just reframe and transpose the old theological imagery and moralistic doctrines into different agendas (without even acknowledging their teleological basis / alignment as originating in religious symbolism)
Anyway, here is Dolph Lundgren from Johnny Mnemonic, I really like him, he is stabbing his way into heaven. This beatific facial expression should be deployed more often on a daily basis
