>>5718281So for the Florence Ternan plotline, I did not have that fully prepared, but I was thinking of two sets of portraits, for whether you met her on stage or off stage. The sequence of paintings TYRANT MAIDEN MARTYR could either be found in the asylum / workhouse, or as stage backdrops (if you went into the criminal underworld with Enoch Lusk) in some abandoned theatre etc (another location for meeting the painter). Florence would be rehearsing some play about the fairytale of the Odalisque that would probably resemble Salome a lot hehe. The idea was that perhaps you could summon the actual Odalisque through the theatrical portrayal of her. The scenes would probably also be inspired by that bit in Dorian Gray where the eponymous Gray rejects the actress girl Sibyl and finds her tedious, dull and repulsive after her declaration of love for him etc.
I had not decided upon the off stage portrait yet, but probably something modest by Fantin-Latour like this one
