You take this moment to actually look around the building instead of suffocating on dust. The front room you entered has long since seen better days. A thick layer of grey dust coats the floors and walls. You're even able to leave visible footprints in it like it's snow.
A drop of water hits your shoulder. You look up. There's massive holes in the ceiling that are about the size of your head if not bigger.
When you look back down, you see your allies staring at something. When you turn to look, it's in the direction of the front des- Oh. That's a <span class="mu-r">dead body.</span> You approach it with obvious hesitation and poke at it with one of the regular knives you have. That's when the 'dead body' collapses in on itself into dust.
"Oh." Maruyama lets out a sigh of relief. "That's good? I think." <<span class="mu-b">"Dealt with corpses before. Didn't want to risk the paperwork."</span>>
Underneath the pile of dust is a small print out of the apartment's layout. You pull out from underneath the pile of dust to get a better look at it. Kiara slides right next to you to examine it as well while Maruyama roams around the room you're in. There's four floors, with the one you're one being the first one being labeled "VISTORS". You check the other labels.
"WORKERS"
"VIPS"
"STARS OF THE CITY"
All of them seem to have rooms that could be rented out so you'd assume it's just the general price range of each of the floors. Each of the floors has about twelve rooms each, you think, but some of the lines on the printout are blurry looking so you can't quite be sure.
There's a few specific rooms marked down on the layout with special comments. You skim over the comments...
ROOM 2, VISTORS: "Find a way to open this room ASAP. Something is blocking it from the inside?"
ROOM 4, VISTORS: "TREAT THIS ONE INCREDIBLY WELL. Order from a Star of the City. Better not disappoint."
ROOM 11, WORKERS: "He hasn't left his room in a week. He keeps muttering and rambling about absolutely nothing. Worrying."
ROOM 1, VIP: "Make sure to set up the room as per her instructions. If we treat her well, she'll gift us!"
ROOM 5, VIP: This one is half erased but you squint to read it. "...afe code 1255. Steal his shit during the award shows."
ROOM 7, STAR OF THE CITY: "Only allow the guest named 'Vanessa Anjaro' to enter. Don't question why she's visiting the man up there every night."
ROOM 10, STAR OF THE CITY: "DO NOT ENTER WITHOUT AN APPROVED PERSON. Very, VERY important. Express orders from the family."
Interesting, well that's at least something to work off of instead of randomly checking the floors. Some of them are a bit worrying but hey, you'll deal with that once you start exploring. You turn back to your allies. It's probably wise to try splitting up to cover as much ground here since there are four floors.
The question is, who goes where?
"Let's explore already!" Kiara whines like a puppy dog ready for a walk.
"Let's get this over with." Maruyama mumbles through his hand.
