"Hey Claire, hope you're doing alright. I know we don't say this enough but thank you so much for everything you've done for the gang. We'd be lost without you, especially since you probably could have just sold that bag of coke you stole from your evidence locker and ran haha."

Alan was off, he was always slightly off. His smile reached just a hair too high and his eyes had a tendency to gloss over when he was talking as if he was looking past whoever he was talking to. After a few beers and underneath a neon glow it wasn't too visible but his eccentricity was on full display under the fluorescent safehouse bulbs. Beneath all the strangeness, Claire could tell was the voice of somebody genuinely concerned and appreciative of her work but didn't fully understand how to express that appreciation.

"I've got time so if you could use some help with the Pre-Plan I'd be happy to help, wouldn't want you to do everything on your own especially now that Angela's in the Hospital."

Not that she needed anybody to protect her since Alan was sure Claire was some sort of undercover SWAT agent, maybe FBI or NSA. Or possibly a sleeper agent from Mossad, they had redheads right or was he misremembering?

"I've also got some questions about... well the gang before all this went down. I trust you and Angela enough but it seems like your ghosts are starting to catch up with you both and I think it's only fair that we got a clearer picture of what's happening."

"..."

"I don't mean to pry but, If you're willing to tell me I wanna know what's going on with Angela and Ray or You and Spider or even if there's anything important you both are hiding from us."

He let the silence drag for a moment, feeling too awkward to meet Claire's eyes before chuckling to himself.

"You can rely on some of us at least definitely not me but maybe Ramirez or Mizuchi! They're basically the main characters."
