[ BLICKERY COUNTY ]
Off the coast of Shengesia, there lay a certain island. An island whose panhandle nearly made contact with the land. Overgrown with trees, this island was a massive forest floating on the water, once apart of the mainland in theory stretching over billions of years in the past.
But an island that none dare travel to. An island that had made the coasts dangerous, and off limits. In fact, Trinity travel bans in the area had made the coasts barren, save for the checkpoints and walls cordoning it off. A place that looked seemingly normal. But at night, it was crawling with the inhabitants of the island, wandering far. The beasts.
Their kind said to be abominable, vicious and ugly. The most hideous creatures in Hainei. Like wolves walking on two feet, or bears whose skin had peeled and flaked off, leaving only bone and fur behind, marked by claws. Deformed monstrosities mutated from man in the past, now only craven killers and lurkers in the dark. The Trinity had denounced all these outcasts, and marked them as monsters. And they were said to be apart of the dominion all monsters ultimately served. The Khanate of the Afterseas. They were HEUS' children, for in Beasts was the power of Death they had gained through infection, and the sickness that turned them to Beasts.
Blickery was an enclosed island shrouded in bloodshed and mystery, and home to the world's densest forest, and darkest one as well. The Blickery Thickets. While it was dangerous to wander the coasts, going to Blickery was said to be a death wish. For those who went to the island never returned. The work of insidious curses to trap them, and make lost travelers with the daring to approach the thickets. Passing even a single tree and going deeper when making landfall was set to set the curse of the lost off like a mine you'd never know you stepped on. When you turned around, you no longer saw the edges of the island you crawled up on. You saw only woods. And there was no longer any sense of direction.
No matter where you went, day was like night, and all is quiet. And when night truly did come, they would find you. The Beasts. They would kill you.
The curse of the lost. Born from the desire of Blickery's people, its Beasts. An unquenchable desire to forever turn away the thing they hated most; Outsiders.
