You are being rolled somewhere, as the rock creature itself rolled about. Your ribs hurt too much to even cry out in protest, and feel as if something is restricting them, pressing down upon your chest and preventing you from drawing full breath. When you embarrassingly squeak out, it bounces back as if blocked by a rocky cowl over your head. Not much chance of wielding the <Voice of the Metatron> at present, then.
You can only hope your Beloved Ones and stalwart loyalists were similarly ‘spared’, whatever terrible fate awaits you all. The alternative is that, in your overconfidence and your desire to eliminate an enemy, you just cost virtually everyone you love… Their lives.
Eventually, the movement stills, and you are given a moment to reorient yourself. You are dizzy, disoriented, probably concussed, near-breathless, sore, and are certain your arms and chest have several broken bones among them… But you live, and where there is life there is hope.
You force yourself to meditate, even under these conditions, under your heartrate and breathing steady, and your mind quiets. Think, damnit, think! There has to be a way out of this…
