“We’re going in.” you declared. “I’ll go high, and you go low. Find a locked door to slide under, or something.”
“Got it. See ya’ on the other side.” said Flint, right before he leapt from the building to harmlessly splatter on the ground below.
You decided to do something far less dramatic and traumatizing, and swung over to the building on a well placed webline. Without putting much thought into it, you angled the upswing of the arc to place you directly beside a window on the fourth floor.
It had less to do with math than it did instinct. On some unspoken level, your powers allowed you to perform incredible feats through sheer visualization. You weren’t sure about the specifics, and Madame Web didn’t seem too keen on explaining how they worked. But they haven’t failed you so far.

Upon crawling inside the abandoned building, you were met with a thick cloud of dust that made you feel grateful for the filters in your mask. You would’ve undoubtedly choked on it without them. You couldn’t smell the mold that must’ve been growing in the carpets, but you knew that it had to have been there. If not because of your limited knowledge on home improvement, you couldn’t deny the gentle thrumming of your spider sense, warning you that lingering here for too long could have ill effects on your health.
The sheer versatility of it was baffling to you.
As you contemplated this, you activated your thermal lenses in order to get a better idea of your surroundings. The inky darkness of this opera house made it almost impossible to traverse these halls without bumping into something.
Suddenly, a tiny bright spot flashed across the corner of your eye, and your head whipped around to catch a glimpse of what it could have been. You moved with supernatural speed, jumping from wall to pillar to ceiling, and finally landing in front of whatever you had spotted.
It was a person. They were fully kitted out in military grade equipment, and clearly very startled by your sudden appearance. The merc was backing away very quickly, reaching for his weapon and was very close to drawing it on you. But you were faster.
Before they even had a chance to properly react, you webbed their hand to their hip, trapping both it and their sidearm in place. And just in case, you webbed their mouth shut as well. Can’t have them screaming for help, after all.
But right as you were about to subdue them, your spider sense flared up once more. You took a quick look around, and you were just now beginning to notice the multiple lasers trained on your head and torso.
Somehow, you had been surrounded without even knowing it.
