>>5631521>get into the weeds about the exact meaning of Social Justice[No thanks, anon, I'm just using a colloquialism to point out the VERY stark divide between these two ladies' worldviews. I don't want to open up a can of words or a /pol/ debate.]
>What are Eka's beliefs and concerns specifically[That IS a fair question, though, since Theral has been spending pretty much all his time hanging out with and humouring her as she excitedly rambles about things she's read, while subtly trying to disenchant her to the society she lives in and which Theral plans to overthrow...]
[Without stating where I or you or especially THERAL should fall on such issues or drawing any direct parallel to real life, Ekaterine is (as earlier noted) very concerned with the well-being and freedom of women, with the marginalized and the socio-economic underclass, and with equality and inclusion. She is quite enamored with cooperation between "races"--which in her world is a very nebulous term, sometimes meaning cultural and ethnic groups as we (or our ancestors, at least) would understand them and sometimes meaning, like, cat-people or goblins and elves. She wants peace and prosperity for all, a very "kumbaya" kind of future where everyone lives together and gets along.]
[She's also a literal princess in a religiously-based polytheistic monarchy, in a world where multiple sapient species with VERY distinct biologies and psychologies exist and gods/spirits/demons are real, so it's an imperfect analogue to anything which we experience outside of speculative fiction, and bundled up with (to some) antiquated notions of noblisse oblige, natural hierarchies, etcetera. She'd probably support major property or wealth redistribution if she thought it would make the world a better place in the end, but would obviously blanche at any major actions of physical violence, and she still sort of assumes that whoever is ordering and organizing society will (by default) be a kind of benevolent monarch, albeit maybe with a council of advisors meant to represent the common folk of various races so that said monarch could hear all their concerns and do their very best to address them.]
[Sorry if tl;dr, and PLEASE (not directed at the anon who asked, but rather at everyone here) don't get into any off-topic debates about whether Ekaterine is a good/bad right/left wrong/right person more broadly. Let's all keep this civil, in-topic, and in-character!]
