Now, the filtration is of such efficiency that the rate of premature heavy metal poisoning has been cut nearly in half and the outer cartilage in adults that have spent local days accumulating lead is noticeably sturdier against impacts. It requires slightly more nutrients and at this stage has caused a mild increase in weight, but it’s negligible next to the blubber that the Flounder Feeder’s core and tail muscles are already moving. This slow but consistent increase of shell quality has allowed the Flounder Feeder population to grow slightly more.
