>OOPART: Oro Salmón. The data packet depicts a gun, a series of stripes and a smoking cigar. There’s brickwork and alleyways, knives and dollar bills, and a harsh red X.
You extract a phantom copy of the gun. It’s a lot more archaic and odd than a packet pistol. It’s a dense brick of info that’s filled with potential, but you don’t have the means to rip its shell apart and harvest it. Not in these circumstances.
“What’s an OOPART?” You ask.
<span class="mu-s">”Beats me. It has ‘part’ in it, I guess it’s useful.”</span>
Porcupamon punches one of the pink birds into the floor, splattering it like overripe fruit. You wince as the scraps of data flow into your partner. The Oro Salmón is stuffed into your backpack, and you turn around to rejoin the combat. You’re low on freeze code thanks to your excellent usage of it earlier, so you have to resort to less effective weapons. You launch several more props at weaker Digimon whenever they go for your allies, while making sure not to attract the attention of invading Champions. Any time a Digimon approaches Wind, you join the Rookies in pelting them with projectiles. Your own are makeshift objects, sent flying by l1ne tools and f0rce, but they help repel the chaff. Instead, they go for the shelves and start chewing data right off it.
Kaus Gammamon is being matched by the marauding beetle. Just as he gets thrown into a wall, you see a burst of light from across the room. Many Digimon stop to watch, as your insignificant, as-of-yet nameless ally makes use of the data you gave him.
“Kunemon! Digivolve to…”
<span class="mu-s"><span class="mu-b">”KUWAGAMON!”</span></span>
The beetle is crimson, with two massive mandibles that gnash with barely restrained violence. It throws its head back and roars a challenge to the Kabuterimon, who drops absolutely everything to face it. The two charge at each other, clashing in an aerial battle that sends blades of wind churning upwards and scattering lighter Digimon. Lightning bolts sail in and out of the fray, as the two play out the eternal rivalry in their code.
