>>5329264Placing Guts on your horse and telepathically communicating with Farnese, you ask her to let some ink ready for you to use on Guts, while doing to same to Casca instead of relying on your wards.
Minimizing the risk of anything going wrong, you whistle with your two fingers to signal your arrival, being close to Guts' side while Farnese dispatched a trimmed haired Casca towards him at the plains.
At winter they were separated, but at winter, they should also be united.
"Guts!?" Casca sprints over to him, her memories slowly inching heir way into her mind as she smiled to see him again.
"So he wasn't lying... It really is her..." Guts could barely contain his excitement himself, almost feeling undeserved of the woman that was soon to be in his arms.
Casca's memories, on the other hand, were starting to return too fast for her liking, and as soon as she caught a glimpse of his metallic arm and his missing eye, her mind wandered to how he lost those.
The eclipse, of course. The same place where all her comrades were devoured by the jaws of Femto, as Griffith came out of his egg, instead of saving Casca from the demons attempting to rape her as she fought in pitiful revenge against the soldiers who died for her superior, the once leader of the Falcon Band decided to join them in penetrating her. As Guts had his hand stuck inside the maw of another entity attempting to devour him, it was either a choice to watch the demonic insemination z or tear his arm off to die by his hand.
"AAAAAAAH!" Casca shrieked at the top of her lungs as she fell to her knees. Guts was quick in attempting to calm her down, but it was a case of being the wrong person at the wrong time.
"Casca? Why are you shouting? I'm not going to hurt you--"
"DON'T TOUCH ME! GET AWAY!" Casca starts punching Guts with enough force to push him away, thinking she's fighting the monster from her nightmares, when she was just exiling the one she wished to see.
"Farnese, didn't you give her a dose today?"
"I did! The inhibitor rune was also perfectly drawn! I don't know why she's reacting that way to his mere presence." She responds in her mind. One quick look at Guts could tell you why.
Look at his face, grimacing, obscured by the shadows of the setting sun, the clear stench of blood and rotten carcasses. The beast of darkness is so engrained into him that it awakes Casca's traumatic reaction to the eclipse, with the swordsman being forever tainted by his past despite merely being present in the same dimension as her during that day.
The oblivious Guts, not understanding why he was being rejected, attempted to get more words out of Casca as the beast threatened to awake. Their Ods already building into a spark outside of their bodies.
>Calmly explain to Guts that he should keep his distance.>Push Casca away from him.>Focus on the beast of darkness and control his outbursts.>Block Guts from Casca's sight and see if she recovers.>Bring in more serum.>Something else
