>>5461577He laughs for what feels like a full minute, you exchanging awkward glances with his subordinates. Who all look just as confused as you feel. Clearly they'd thought this would be a battle, especially the giant bug man with the halberd in his lower hands, the lightning-infused single edged blade in a lowered guard in the other two. As he finishes his laugh, wiping a nonexistent tear from his eye, the skeleton returns his gaze to you.
“No, Chilli son of Karn. I do not wish to battle you.” he says, then his eyeball-less eye sockets start glowing with pinpoints of crimson light. “I would like to make a deal.”
“A deal? Seriously?” you ask, shocked. “An undead wants to make a deal with me?”
“I believe you have me misjudged, based on my appearance.” Ainz says, giving you a toothy grin. “I am not an undead. I was born into this body.”
“Wait, what?” you ask, shocked. “No way, that's impossible.”
“As impossible as extraterrestrial life not only existing, but appearing on your own world? Or as your entire kingdom suddenly being teleported from your own realm to another?” he asks, his second question giving you quite a bit of insight into this man. “But no, on our previous world I was born into a skeletal body, not one with muscles and flesh. Is that so hard to believe, Saiyan? Your people can transform into massive apes by the light of a full moon, and me being an ambulatory skeleton is too much?”
“Well, when you put it like that...” you say, after everything you've seen not unwilling to believe such a thing. But that doesn't change what he's done. “That may be, but you're still using necromancy to create undead abominations.”
“As an Eclipse Overlord, yes. That IS what I do.” he says, catching you by even more surprise. “I am a Master of Death, the one who decides who lives and who dies.”
“If you're not lying, then we'll see.” you say, drawing your Jergal Tome from your left side and opening it, flipping through the pages to one of the spells you haven't yet used. But you've been waiting for the first time you'd use it. “If you truly serve Death, and aren't some pretender, this spell shall reveal the truth! Death Magic: Death's Judgement!”
Then in the space between you, hovering a few feet off the ground a ghostly eye appears looking directly at you. As its gaze peers at you, your skeletal arm begins to 'glow' with ghostly flames that don't burn you. It then swivels around, the cone of light it projects enveloping the skeleton Ainz Ooal Gown. Whose body also lights up,the same pale, translucent flames bursting to life all over him. Yet he does not burn!
