“What?!” The Dwarf shouted in outrage towards the Knight, “You say that I, an Ancestor himself, does not know the will of our Gods!?”
“Aye, I do, for it was Adok who forged me this armor made with the blessings of your warrior god.” Lucian pointed out as he pointed a finger at the ghost, “And I am blessed by those gods of man as well. If you think that Adok is tainted, that he does not have honor, then I would not have any honor by working with him. Yet the Lady, Morr, and Grimnir all bless me! If you think otherwise you are a fool!”
“Aye!” Lucian heard the lifted spirits of Adok rallied as he beat his chest with pride, “I am still a Runesmith Ancestor and you claim that my pilgrimage to do what Thungi has done to be foolish just because my fool of a Father cries out against it! He is the fool, for I am on my paths to my very goal! The Ancestor Gods smile on me!”
The ghost quickly made a swing at Adok, the Dwarf instinctually giving a punch in return with enough force that the two were pushed back from one another. Lucian found himself ready for a fight, his hands upon the scythe until a laugh came from the Dwarfen Ghost.
“Ha, you have some bite in you!” He laughed as he rubbed his ethereal cheek, “Fine, I recognize you fools. You all in the shadows, I know you’re there, let me tell you what you want to know.”
The Dwarfen Scouts, who had obviously heard the yelling and anger going through the Temple, came from places Lucian did not even notice lining up to hear the ghost speak.
“From what I know our King is being used as a close guard of the Necromancer who controls this keep, and that the Necromancer resides in the Palace. I ask that you help us unbind him from the Necromancer’s Service, in hopes that after we can all once more rest!”
“There are others?” Adok realized the meaning of the Dwarf’s words quickly.
Suddenly, from the crypts behind him, a group of Dwarfen Ghosts began making their way out of the tomb. Just like the Dwarf before them, these ghosts were much closer to mortality than the fiendish existence that Necromanic undead were. Lucian could only guess that these ghosts were blessed by none other than Gazul himself, the Ancestor God of the Dwarfs valuing Dwarfen Honor above even his duties as Lord of the Dead.
