The Deeper the Nulls went the worse things were. The smell of plague and blood came through the halls as well as mass chanting was carried by the barren walls. Many of the robots that had been following the Nulls began to slow and eventually stop as while they were not wounded their metal flesh was being rotted away.
The Nulls and their weapons though did not have that issue. They were blessed by the Machine God to be anathema to the warp in which they were fighting. Many of these people were children or young adults, somehow surviving in a world where every single person wanted to kill them for their sheer existence. You could not even blame ignorance for these people, for they were afraid of what the Pariahs ultimately were.

It was a small thought among the Nulls that Quintin felt held merit. That the Nulls were created to be by some outside force. Many claimed it was the Machine God, while others even argued that it was the Emperor of mankind. Whatever it was they all were united in their purpose of eradicating Chaos Taint.
As they approached they heard the blood that gushed and the screams of terror which carried through the halls grow louder and louder. They were so close, but he knew the moment the laughter began that they were going to be too late.
As they breached the room there were several persons on the ground convulsing and crying out. These were dampened by the laughter of the creature which stood in the center of the room looking at the squad of Nulls with blinking eyes. He then laughed in a booming voice that promised damnation.

The giant creature lifted a bell and gave it a mighty toll. As if it was some summoning charm the people who were either dead or convulsing began to rise like some sort of damned force of creature. All to the satisfaction of the large Daemon which started the Nulls down.
