You guess based on the count of the numbers and position of the sun that the dial is set to noon, but instead of the (XII) you would expect, the dial reads (EPP) There also appears to be a clock face carved into the stone, although it seems purely ornamental, as it is completely non-functional and only has one hand.
Carved onto the dial itself is the text,
"Svukpupbt"
Across the room you see the frame of a grandfather clock, complete with a drawer on the bottom. However, the frame lacks a clock face.
