Lucian’s hands moved fast, his hands reaching out towards the tunic of the rotten man and pulling him towards the Knight. Lucian felt ease in this move as the man barely weighed anything against the horrors that he had seen. The Black Knight had challenged giant bats, Hellpit Abominations, and his fellow man without another thought.
If this man, this peasant, thought he could stay in Lucian’s way then that was going to be a problem.
“You listen to my words, peasant.” Lucian made sure to apply the same kind of venom that Gillot had given him. The kind that was clearly meant to scare the daemons of any man lesser than he was into compliance, “You’ve been standing in my way for long enough and tried to play us. No more.”
“C-come on Sir Knight,” He tried to weasel his way out of the situation as if that was always what he could do, “You would not hurt an innocent man. Arn’t you Knights suppose to be the most noble?”
“Obstructing my duties is not something a peasant can do. For while I vow to protect others, the Gods know that you are not to be counted as the meek.” Lucian announced as he raised his hand. It was an easy move, doing so bringing up the unnamed man with ease, “Who are you, and why are you obstructing me?”
“Hehe, Sir I don’t think I need to answer to you.” His gummy face grew a smile as Lucian starred into him. That fear that radiated from the numerous peasants and sailors on this vessel was non-existant.
Lucian held his confusion as the man yelled, “HELP! I AM BEING REPRESSED! HELP!”
The bellow of the man rocked the ship easily. Lucian glanced at the man with an incomprehensible expression as if he heard something most stupid. After all, was it not the normal lot of life for peasants to be oppressed. He was on the other side of that coin and knew no one would care.
But it was when the people gathered from both the deck and the depths of the vessel. Numerous sailors of the same mix from above, Imperials and Bretonnians, each of them looking in wonder at the situation before them.
While those from his homeland looked with some understanding, it was the Imperials who looked upon Lucian with sickening eyes. It was as if Lucian was a monster preying upon their fellow countryman. That he was committing an action so foul that it bordered on taboo.
And then a man whose dress was closing in on Lucian’s own decor walked in from the deck.
