> Action 1, 2 & 3: After performing an intensive evaluation of the foundations of Thadmancer's Keep, PTE begrudgingly concludes that a catastrophic cave-in is likely to occur if the Black Obelisk continues operation. There's no problem with the obelisk itself mind you - the glorified dimensional shunt is performing its function flawlessly - the problem lies with the landscape of the library itself, having apparently not been designed to survive adjacency with the cosmic headspring of conceptual and literal atrophy. Muttering darkly about the library's architect and his standards of structural integrity, PTE decides that the most sensible option available to him is to attempt to deactivate the artifact. Unfortunately the necromancer hadn't had the foresight to include a designated shutdown process into his creation - leaving little choice but to rely on the suboptimal option of interrupting the mechanism manually, while it was violently channeling a reality-rending quantities of energy. Upon pushing the system out of equilibrium, he'd need to delicately adjust and modulate the loops of magical energy to avoid the myriad of disastrous complications while simultaneously diverting and deescalating the Obelisk's output by increments, all in order to safely orchestrate a (relatively) controlled closure (collapse) of the Entropic rift. Naturally, such an grueling errand will require PTE's total, undivided concentration, so he settles in for the long haul - to diffuse a metaphorical bomb of his own making.
