"You had a big celebration yesterday, no?" He chuckles. Before you could ask how he'd know he responds. "That ring on my daughter's finger is proof you sealed the deal with her. Don't you think about throwing her away now, you hear?" He said the last part in a joking way, but you could tell it was loaded with the sort of implicit threat only a father could make.
"I wouldn't even consider it." You didn't plan on abandoning your hot fox hag. He nodded his head in approval.
You two resumed talking about business like nothing even happened. Ayane returned near the end of it.
"We're planning on visiting the Merchant's Guild today." You revealed. "I'll give you my answer after I meet them. Do I need to always carry around that invitation or is it possible to become an actual member?"
"Yes, it's possible. In fact, they're taking applications this week and the next for anyone that's been recommended recently. Convenitent timing, isn't it?" He looked at you with a smirk. "I wouldn't waste the opportunity to register if I were you."
This old man might not be so bad.
You both thanked him for the help. You and your wives left soon afterwards.

"Gah." Said Ruby. She drank some water from a flask. You weren't surprised she jumped at the first chance to be here in person. "Sir, I must thank you for waking me up. I wouldn't desire to miss such an important event, much less one with my Master around~" She said to you, then gave a sideglance at your kistune wife. "No offense, Ayane, but with my headache I'd be more of a hindrance than not if I tried to help out at the port." Ayane seemed like she had a sharp comment to make, but held her tongue and opted on merely nodding her head understandingly.
"I don't see what the big deal is." Herta said. She'd also been sleeping in, not because she was tired—merely because she found the whole trading scene boring. "Billions should be willing to purchase my creations! I'm a godde-" You place a finger against her mouth.
"Herta, what did we say about publicly speaking of your divinity?" You whispered to her. It was really too soon to tell what the situation would be with the Churches, though if isekai light novels taught you anything it's that they were corrupt, and there was no shortage of people that would take advantage of Herta if they got their hands on her. If it came down to it you weren't gonna let them take her away or kill her for heresy. You had discussed this before with her, but without giving her any direct order.
"That it's a bad idea?" She responded.
"Are you gonna speak about it unless I tell you to?" She shook her head. "Good girl." You whisper again and pet her head. She smiled blissfully while looking at you.
The building for the Guild was tall and imposing, displaying it's wealth with pride. You, Herta, Ayane, and Rose had decided to enter it. You made sure the invitation was still on you.
