The Skull Knight has been fighting his war against The God Hand for a millennia, and Midland was formed around that time frame. The First King Of Midland was described and illustrated as a man who fought amongst his people, and had a skull armor that covered him from head to toe.
You almost fail to control the urge to slap yourself, being so lost in your affairs that you had yet to consider the possibility.
But how could you, really? Why would a man such as King Gaiseric, still be alive 1000 years after suddenly disappearing, be alive as a skeleton, eating your Behelits and attempting to save Midland when the world needed him most?
"Y-Your Majesty! I had no idea!" You take a bow to the mythical legend of your kingdom, while he shakes his head in disapproval.
<span class="mu-s">"It has been quite a few centuries since anyone has recognized me in this form. The decadence of Midland's teachings is showing in their disappearing culture. You need not to address me in this manner, King Gaiseric was a fool that nearly brought an end to all his conquests. It is no wonder I can barely recognize the descendants of such lineage.</span>
"Darn, and here I thought I could be knighted by the first king himself after the old one blacklisted my family name..."
<span class="mu-s">"As I've already told you, I don't take apprentices under my wing. You would be hard pressed to be accepted in any brigand commanded by a ghost of the past.</span>"
"Gaiseric's few remaining companions remain in Skellig, The Island of Elfhelm where Danan is located in... As well as My deceased mentor, The Priestess of the Cherry Blossoms."
"<span class="mu-s">A lover of the king. Sacrificed much like the ones remaining at the tower of rebirth, when Void was first awakened. Enraged with the chaos happening before his eyes, he let the rage of the Berserker Armor consume him, as he declared war against those who incorporated causality. The armor has the ability to keep you alive by suppressing the distress caused by the natural limitations of the human body, turning the wearer into a feral, uncontrollable beast.</span>
"Should the wearer be unable to control himself, it will deteriorate his body without him feeling it. Berserkers would only die once the last drop of blood left their bodies. Were it not for the ritual that managed to pull his soul into this current set of armor he has, he would have been devoured by the eclipse of his time, when it happened." Flora reveals how Gaiseric truly came to pass.
"AND YOU'RE PLANNING ON GIVING THAT TO GUTS?!" You panic, already seeing him killing you with the beast of darkness by his side, let alone something that empowers said demon.
<span class="mu-s">"Never in my undead life, would I suggest such a dangerous, karmic equipment to him. Yet these desperate measures appear to call a return to the Berserkers.</span>"
