>>5521607>>5521617>>5521624The gunfire is deafening. You risk poking your head out and see shapes in the smoke illuminated by rapid muzzle flashes as they advance on your positions. You can’t tell how many there are, but there’s more than you, that’s for certain. Shit, you have to do something to help out. You can’t cower in fear, and your gun probably isn’t going to do much either. The rest of the team is fighting for all they’re worth, and as you watch, Agent Simon steps out from behind a thick shelf, raises his pistol to fire a single shot at someone who immediately falls over, and then steps back in.
Your eyes wander over to the UNSTABLE ELEMENTS shelves. The shelf that disappeared suddenly comes to your mind. This is a stupid idea. A very, very stupid idea. You glance back at the fight. Kei leans out to shoot but falls back, shouting in pain as he scrambles behind a desk. You have to go for it.
You jump up and sprint towards the shelves, sliding down as you get close. So far so good. Nobody’s taken a shot at you. The shelf you’ve arrived at is full of jars and boxes, labelled with faded letters that have long been made unreadable. Hopefully this stuff won’t kill you just by moving it. You pick a jar at random, one filled a dark liquid and what looks like small rocks inside it. You turn to look at the fight and see Jenny step out, calmly fire off a burst at one of the enemy operatives, downing him, before swiftly moving back into cover. The enemy has moved out of the smoke now, and it’s definitely the guys you saw at the diner. You heft the jar before looking back at the fight.
>Hope this works. You begin running straight at them, got to get close and make sure you throw this right. You notice Isaac firing off a few shots out the corner of your eye, but none seem to connect. One or two of the guys in front seem to notice you getting closer, and the next thing you hear is bullets whizzing around your head.
Shit.
You make a leap to the right, lean low, and sprint as hard as you can. The bullets continue heading your way, but nothing even gets close to hitting you.
Perk Gained! Moving Target: + 5 to dodging attacks while sprinting.
You run past Agent Simon, whose eyes widen when he sees what you’re holding.
“No! What are you doing!?”
You ignore him and throw for all your worth.
Roll 1d100 for damage. Bo3.
