The Emperor watched the Omnissiah bring his hand across the battlefield in a general gesture, “My Father, what is it you call these creatures? As TalOS you and Malcador referred to them as Xenos from the Warp. A Tulpa, a creation of mankind’s thoughts. You did not declare that they did not exist, you did not inform your people that they should not exist, you simply stated that they were something exotic that everyone did not understand.”
What the being spoke was the truth of the matter, and upon it being highlighted he understood in that instant, “I allowed them to still exist.”
The Omnissiah smiled, “By declaring that there were no Gods you indeed made sure for the time that there were no Gods. The beings of Chaos you said to be simply Exotic Xenos were that, exotic xenos. They did not have a single worshiper within the Galaxy, but as they were still creatures they could bargain.”
The Emperor did not speak for he did not wish for the words to come out of his mouth. Not in this moment that he was starting to see things for what they were.
“They bargained with those who did not believe in you. Nothing could stop them either, for they were not Gods and thus their existences were not denied by your words. Using what is a mismatch in variables and strings, they grabbed back the power that you had denied them.”
His error was known and for it the Emperor would feel shame for the rest of his existence. But shame was not something that the Emperor ever dwelled upon. They were but moments that shaped his thoughts and ideals. He acted upon what he learned from them.
“As you sit upon the Throne, think upon what your final declaration shall be. In that final moment where your words can shape the Universe.” The Omnissiah said with what the Emperor knew to be foresight beyond his own.
The Emperor would not allow such a telling request to be the final words they spoke, “TalOS, what would you wish for my final declaration to be?”
