Yours or any of the others?’
‘None were detected in the Capsule Corp. ones, but I can give a quick look over the others.’ She responds, moving back a bit. “That’s right folks! We’ll have all these free to play after scores are tallied up! So, we ready to begin?”
“Heck yeah! Let’s get the Arcade Challenge started!” Cocoa announces, giving her own fist pump into the air.
The contestants head to the boxes with the various select their teams, while Pantea heads in deeper to investigate the rest of the arcade. ‘Suspect they tried to upload something here too?’
‘Possibility. Mostly asking ya to do this as a precaution. Thanks Pantea.’
Meanwhile, most of the teams have selected their fighters, and a lot of them have pretty decent picks. Pantea gives them a quick and basic tutorial as she moves around checking the other arcades, nominally prepping them for free play. And so, the various arcade consoles for the Battle Simulator light up…
Lime and Monty manage things well, with their team of Acer and yourself being able to dish out some great damage against the green bug monsters they’re set up against. Mom remarks that they’re similar to the Saibamen and Biomen she’s seen before… and huh, yeah, they kinda are. Brings back some memories to ya…
You check with Pantea on that. ‘Yeah, we wanted some generic enemies for testing. Mostly based on those Bio-Men that Wheelo made years back.’
Neat. And makes sense. Lime and Monty manage to do some serious damage to the enemies, while avoiding taking much themselves. And… oooh, just 100 HP short! Well, they got 4 points.
Videl and Sharpner on the other hand end up selecting ones of Hercule and Goku, to your slight surprise. Ahh, trying the strategy Pantea showed ‘em! Mr. Satan’s cheering gives dad a boost in power, one that does massive damage… aaah, but Sharpner doesn’t get the follow-up! 300 HP short of a knockout! 4 points again.
But Latte and Java definitely know what they’re doing. They might not be martial artists themselves, but they can understand the game’s rules very well. Even if they end up taking some damage initially, a combo attack from Lapis and Lazuli activates a power boost that knocks out the enemy! Full five, and bonus!
