Involving the regular army would come with a lot more scrutiny than using disposable mercenaries, and better to let them suffer the high casualty rates than whatever wetwork black ops teams they have.
Though speaking of reinforcements, I know we're all attached to our team members but the possibility remains very real of losing them every time we enter this place. If that happens, I hope we'll be able to recruit replacements for the roster.
