When I was young I loved the story of the streltsys and the early russian armies before the Petrine reforms, the idea of men armed with muskets and polearms fascinated me. Plus, they looked very stylish in their uniformed caftans, I think that in the mid XVIth century they must have been some of the first armies to have been issued uniforms in Europe, I know that in France it was only in the late XVIIth century that they began to equip the troops in the same manner and if I am not mistaken it was more or less the same in the Holy Roman Empire and Britain.
I never played the last assassin's creed games unfortunately and could not compare, my love for the berdiche in video games came from Mount and Blade Warband and Fire and Sword.
