For a dangerous criminal, that couldn't have been the whole picture. Grotle continues to eye the group, even after Citrine's explanation. They're wary of something.
"Anything... else?" they ask, but at that moment, Darmanitan returns, holding a strange object.
"Here it is! This'll keep that Ghost-type secure." Holding up the spherical object and their badge, Spiritomb can feel themselves completely frozen, unable to do anything at all. "Okay. Now that's settled, we can head in, and I can direct you three to the quartermaster."
Grotle taps something and whispers to Darmanitan. "Oh... hm. Maybe we can hear more about how you captured this 'mon on the way there. Grotle seems... interested."

It seems everyone is either asleep or pulling guard duty. Passing quietly and carefully, you arrive at the bridge leading out to the Archives, which is easy enough to pass. It seems that this part isn't guarded by anyone on the ground or air. However, a quick glance inside tells you that you're not alone. A Dubwool seems to be working at the central desk, filing papers. Two agents seem to be moving between the shelves, inserting and checking old scrolls and books. Someone off to the far corner is simply reading.
There are also two guards standing by the bridge leading to the tower.

One of them gets to work stopping the fire, one begins combing the area for what might have caused such an incident, and the last keeps a lookout over the area.
If Maroon is careful, he could sneak behind the overwatch, or attempt to scale the South Wing.
