You all step away as he takes the floor, straining to summon up that strength from before. You feel your Digivice hum on your wrist, and that same font of power rise up. However, it crashes against some kind of mental barrier. Phascomon falls onto his rear as he fails to work it up.
"You okay?" Squid asks.
<span class="mu-s">"Ugh- Again!"</span>
He repeats the motion, flexing as hard as he can and shutting his eyes to focus. Regardless of his efforts, neither of you can seem to trigger it like yesterday. Several more minutes pass, and ToyAgumon is giving you a look of utter bewilderment.
<span class="mu-s">"Damn! One more time! I've almost got it!"</span>
"Phascomon, come on... Let's stop for today. I don't think it's working."
<span class="mu-s">"But it was fine yesterday!"</span>
He turns away and sulks, embarrassed by the display. It seems like you can't just pull Porcupamon out on a whim. It's a disappointing discovery, and you make a mental note to experiment with it more.

After a bit more chatting, you get a message from Wind. He's in the meeting room, and wants you to head over.
"Oh. I have to go. Thanks for the talk, Squid. I'll remember what you told me."
"Yeah! And please let me know what he thinks. I really want to compare notes with the doctor. Oh, and try to capture the Digivolution process next time!"
You nod, then head out of the lab before she can overwhelm you with more conversation. The temperature shift is still as noticeable when you exit. You pass through the halls on the way to the meeting room, noticing the lack of hustle and bustle once again. Everyone is in a good mood and still enjoying their day off.
Wind and Kaus Gammamon are sitting in front of the large TV screen when you enter. Just like everyone else, he's keeping an eye on the news, and your attention is eventually drawn towards it as well.
