Your antlers begin to crackle with red and purple energy as you strain your muscles. Soon enough, the five of you manage to yank whatever is down there overboard, though you mostly give credit to Benedict for the work.
A gnarled hunk of scales in the faint shape of a shark is now flopping around overboard, clearly not impeded much by the massive harpoon sticking out of you. On instinct, you immediately ram your antlers into the shark. Like a hot knife through butter, they rip right into the shark's sides, coating your antlers in thick red blood.
Benedict slices the shark's head off right after this. "NEXT TASK, NICOLE." He immediately rushes over to another set of sailors who are trying to lower an escape boat into the water. You charge after him, not allowing yourself to rest after what you just did. Though you do feel good when you hear the three sailors yelling out their thanks to you.
The next few hours are fucking grueling. You and your allies run back and forth across every single inch of this ship, assisting the sailors in whatever way you can. Reeling in catches, carrying heavy boxes and cargo to various parts of the ship, breaking up small fights between sailors, you name it and you had to do it. You're hardly given a moment to rest because by the time you finish carrying one box, another group of sailors is trying their best to reel something in or something else has to be done.
Soon, it's late in the afternoon and your party is laying on the deck of the ship, sweating out after everything that had to be done. The only one still standing is Benedict but given his nature as a partial machine anomaly thing, that makes sense. But it will be worth it later.
>-2 FLESH TO YOU, ASHLEY, AND ADAM, -1 to BENEDICT AND LEX.
>ONE CHARGE CONSUMED ON LEX'S WHALEBONE ARMOR. 4 LEFT.
>ADAM FLESH: 3/5. YOUR FLESH: 3/5. ASHLEY FLESH: 3/5. BENEDICT FLESH: 7/8. LEX FLESH: 4/6.
>You and your group will earn +2 to your VIOLENCE STAT upon mission end.
Captain Abraham soon approaches your group with a small smile across his face. "Good job out there."
You look up at the captain and with a lot of effort, you stumble back up to your feet. "Good timing, actually. I needed to talk to you about, well, that damnable ship thing whatever the fuck." You spit out a random word jumble. "Can we?"
Captain Abraham glances to the front of the ship. You check to see why and...huh. There's a storm brewing over there but, last time you checked, lightning normally isn't blue and purple. Only a few miles behind the storm is a thick, blue fog. "We have to make this quick then. I will tell you all I know about that damnable thing."
Ashley, Lex, and Adam force themselves up and immediately fucking panic when they see the blue fog in the distance. Benedict merely stares blankly towards the fog, raising his blade arm. Ready for a fight.
"You can not waver when you see that beast. You must not show him fear, for he will crush your soul under his sole if you do."
