"Aye, I know of whom ye speak of." He said. "And they talked 'bout a deal with a Westian noble."
"Real annoying-like, they were." The old woman grumbled.
He told you both about some mercenaries that fit your description coming here around a week prior, using one of those"fancy fast Eastian airships". Unfortunately they'd just left.
The woman pointed towards the general direction they went after you asked.
"That's towards Westphalia." You commented.
"Aye, right you are, lad." The man said. You thanked them both before leaving, politely declining an offer to try cloud-fishing, saying you'd consider it next time. You and Mel took a ferry that was passing by.
When you got back to your airship it was much more... decorated. You could tell your wives had been busy.
This would make things more comfortable for everyone.
"Welcome back, Master!" Herta, like always, is the first to greet you. "How did your secret detective mission go?"
"It was fun." You told her, and glanced at Mel, her torn skirt had been exchanged for some pants while you were still out. She'd been pensive about something since being in the ferry. "We found out about some stuff and got into some trouble near the end. But everything should be fine, right Mel?"
"Huh? What?" Mel almost jumped after you said her name. "Yeah! Everything is- Wait," She looked like she remembered something. "Northumbridge! I'm pretty that's where that grumpy old hag was pointing at!" That was farther away from here than your mansion. It would take more than half a day to go there in your ship as it currently was.
"I might be getting along in years, but-" Ayane started to say with a frown before Mel cut her off.
"The hag with the flying fish guy!" Mel said.
"Flying fish guy?" Cattleya said, confused. "Are you feeling alright, mate?"
Mel turned to you with a pitiful expression . "Master, please help!" Now was probably a good time to tell your wives about what you and Mel had found.
"Is that smelly old noble seriously working with bandits?" Bertha commented.
"We don't have enough information to say. Yet him showing kindness towards anyone doesn't bode well." Ruby said. Your wives that lived under Forthwythe all agreed.
"He's either working with them or he wants something from them. Either way, Ruby is right; whenever Forthwythe does anything nice it means he's planning to do something terrible." Gerty added. She seemed to be the most familiar with Forthwythe's personality.
This was all information you could all use, you still had daylight to spare for one last thing.
>Go to seek out some houses for sale. Ayane was able to find a few good deals.
>Take Herta to a doctor. She was practically begging you to be there while she got her pregnancy checked up on.
>Try to do both. Although it won't be as effective as doing one thing or the other.
>Return to the estate. You should have enough time to go back before it gets too late in the night.
