Like: “Why were you following the directions of a strange hacker?” or “Why did you buy her pizza and deliver it directly to her house?”
And then, there was your favorite: “Do you have any left in the fridge?”
That last one was Glass, and it earned him quite a few looks. You answered all their questions in earnest, even the stuff about the Spider Gods. They didn’t seem to believe too much of it, so you didn’t spend too much time explaining something that you’d just learned about secondhand.
Their interest was very much peaked by Madame Web’s offer, though. None of you had ever heard about a mercenary group being consistently funded to clean up a city, but you figured that it wasn’t entirely out of your wheelhouse.
Prowler brought up the point that this job didn’t coincide with the First Commandment, but Felicia brought up the fact that the First Commandment wasn’t exactly a concrete and inflexible rule. It only meant that you should focus primarily on jobs that played to your strengths. There was nothing about rejecting other jobs outright.
That being said, neither of them seemed to be against it. Glass sounded like he was on board as well, but you probably should’ve expected that from an ex X-Man. All that was left was to run it by Flint. Speaking of, you would have to decide whether you would pull him off guard duty for this mission.
What will you do before the operation begins?
>Call back Flint. Cindy should be more than enough for anyone that tries to hurt your brother.>Leave him with your family. Things are about to get hectic, and you’d feel more comfortable with him there.>Try to hire some last minute backup.(Who? Check Contacts.)>Write-in.Pastebins:
