Though, being versed in her religion, she is skeptical of your answers and explanations to say the least.
<span class="mu-s">"...so am I... to be <span class="mu-i">your</span> wife now then?"</span>
<span class="mu-b">"Wife? Oh-ho, no! No, I am no more a husband than you are, if you hadn't noticed. You see, I am not like that thing you believed in."</span>
You attempt to demonstrate your lack of endowment, finding the continuing mistaking of you by humans to be humorous. Unexpectedly though, it returns Cailinn to skepticism, realizing that you are now incompatible with the rituals of their faith in you. Surely this isn't the mark of a god? Ironically of course, you have one certain method that could settle matter once and for all, and show her Atlantis. However you know how long that would take, to travel there and back again.
<span class="mu-s">"Who will help us now then, against the South-men? You even killed the blessed children..."'</span>
<span class="mu-b">"Me, I will help you! You'll see, how trifling that false god, those creatures will seem in time. You can even see right now, I am not bound to the sea. Lead me to your home if you please, to your friends and family."</span>
Well there is one thing at least that she willingly and gladly takes your word on, which is the chance to return to land again. That is as sure a sign as any, that you aren't just tricking her for some nefarious purpose. And carrying her from the underwater rocks back to the shore again, she is visibly quite shocked that you can stomp out of the surf and onto the rocky beach... clearly something her false god never was able to do, or not with such ease as you.
At this, once you set her down, she is now somewhat eager actually to lead you to her village as she takes your huge hand with both of hers. A problem you foresee now on land though, that you hadn't anticipated... all of the other Gaelans are gone by now. It's night after all, you spent the day convincing Cailinn and her people thinking she was taken by the false Tanaloa, didn't wait around. With the rest of her clan gone, and having travel inland, you won't have any way of communicating with them since you aren't fluent in their language.
You'd hoped to resolve this here on the coast, maybe invite others of her clan underwater so you could address all of them. But now you're in a difficult situation, and wonder what to do.
