>>5537757I mean, there's nothing to say that they wouldn't have cable in the Temple, but a lot of material suggests that they'd occupy their free time with meditation, perusing the archives, or otherwise deepening their connection with the Force being the ascetic warrior-monks that they are.
But I have no doubt that some hard-liner masters would hold the view that the boobtube and all its programming that wasn't Republic C-Span or the equivalent of the Weather Channel was a "distraction" from the teachings of the Jedi.

>>5537938The Xim tour would have been done by an overly-enthusiastic, manic-pixie PHD history student from the university of Coruscant and her deadpan, summer-job-slumming assistant making minimum wage to drive the tour boat. He would also be responsible to keep her from drowning because she never learned to swim because Coruscant doesn't have any bodies of water. The student might also have roped the boat staff to dressing up like pre-Republic pirates, with herself taking on the costume of Queen Indrexu, complete with an eye-patch and (thankfully dulled) cutlass from her own private s̶h̶r̶i̶n̶e collection of pre-Republic memorabilia.
The tour would go around the bay and eddies near the resort and spaceport, highlighting certain areas where Xim's army constructed fortresses, settlements and supply depots on Rion to support his wars against the Hutts. Most of the buildings are ruined or have been built over by successive settlers, but there's still one fortress that's kept in good condition under the management of Tana's Resort. The tour guide would add that the original settlers of the planet were Tionese humans from the Tion Cluster who were forcibly displaced in order to populate Rion, an act that left lingering trauma on the subsequent Rionese culture that emerged when Xim's Empire collapsed. Contemporary Rionese are fairly libertarian, and fiercely opposed towards authoritarianism.
Once a week, the historical reenactors fire a primitive turbolaser made with beam-tube technology at a target they have a few hundred meters out to sea, and you arrived just in time to see it fire. For the special price of 1000 credits, you get to aim the turbolaser and pull the trigger yourself.
In addition to the fortress, there's also a museum containing artifacts on loan from the Tion Hegemony as well as some of the Rionese's own relics. One prominent exhibit is the husk of a Guardian Corps war droid at the little museum/gift shop.
And before you ask, no, it doesn't have the Rakatan Force-energizing dynamos unique to the Crimson Condottieres.
>>5538111>>5538129It was mentioned in an earlier thread, but Nujem pranked Ceyla by sneaking a pair of googly-eyed/mustache glasses in a plastic bag labeled 'disguise kit', an act which she swore to pay back in kind upon her return to Amagi.
