Another old RTS game I remember fondly was Warhammer Battle March on Xbox 360. Again muskets yay but also the opening cinematic was so good, a compelling story campaign with some good branching choices - almost like Conan for the chaos barbarian - and the voice acting and also spells were all relatively evocative of the old lore (empire wizard meteor spell, the dark elf dragons and inevitable witch elf spike bikini costumes) I think Creative Assembly have taken over Oldhammer rts and made it better (I have not played any of their games, but the trailers and youtube playthroughs look incredible) but I still remember this old xbox360 warhammer game as being a rare well-executed example of the franchise, back when there was a famine of wfrp and wh40k content. This game and Warhammer Space Marine with amazing voice acting by Mark Strong (!), bolt guns and chainsaws that actually felt brutal, were the only credible titles in my opinion back then.
