The good thing about Berserk having a more liberal timeline is that we can place a few things here and there and it won't feel too out of place.
As for going too far deep in canon, that's probably the best option for Vlad to survive so I believe it's an eventuality, even if for now it's just for the sake of getting to know more about a few of the main players.

Queelag gave me some ideas for a kickass fight for Vlad.Aside from that I'm watching the usual Yu Yu Hakusho, just started LotGH but since I'm more used to manga it'll probably take me until the end of the year to finish both of those lol. Maybe I should take it easy and just go play some Tekken for the week.
