>>5434955I really enjoy torture dungeons! I did mention in my very first quest Invultua, which is named after invultuation, the voodoo doll / needle pin thing. If you think about all rpgs it is like you dress up a doll (outfit it with equipment, attributes etc) then stick pins into it (eg fight orcs with swords) which is sort of sadomasochistic hee hee. Do you also enjoy dungeons? Damsels in distress type of situations? I already anticipated this
>>5418275>>5418278>>5418280It has been a long time since I have seen a good rescue the princess type scenario. I thought about inverting it, ie a capture the princess quest (The Princess has escaped, The Princess is some sort of demoness/monster/vampire/witch etc. This has been done really well in that game Alabaster by Emily Short, one ending variant is a vampire Snow White / Huntsman thing)
What about if... the Princess is the dungeon??? I thought about a cyberpunk mind upload thing, say the damsel in distress is in some sort of trauma / comatose, you have to enter her consciousness to recover her memories / identity. Oh and her mind is like a castle dungeon. hmmmm this is literally that Bioware Dragon Age Origins Fade/Veil nested dream quest hmmm or maybe that Ninja Theory videogame Senua's Sacrifice, which I have not played.
Is there some unique original take on the rescue the damsel in distress situation? Maybe the modern thing is to let the overpowered / capable heroine free herself? There must be some good narrative ideas for a game scenario here
