>>5700921>>5700925>>5700939"Gunpowder, my boy. I know I've abused you a lot today, but I'm gonna need you to boost for me one more time!" You take Guts' hand as he mounts once more on the ever growing tired horse of the old Falcons, pleading for him to still be able to listen to you after all the disorienting trials you've put him through.
"Vlad...Not dying... Today..." Between huffs and neighs, GP tries to remain steady as he focuses on the crater he made in the Sea God's flash not too long ago. Knowing that even as you've charging him with all the energy the three of you could muster, it still might not be enough to escape.
"Running out of time here..." Guts chucks his bombs at the enclosing tentacles, but Gunpowder still chews at the metal of his armor, staring down at the hole as if he had something to prove. And after realizing what he wants, he had good reason to be evaluating his odds. He's just as smart as his owner...
Galloping at a regular speed, Gunpowder walks over to the hole, looping from wall to wall as if trying to pick up speed. As you moved the undines to control the monster's blood flow, you've managed to propel Gunpowder faster and faster as you reduced the strain on his hooves, and after a perfect synch of your efforts, you shout the signal he was waiting for.
"GO!"
The horse manages to walk up a 90º degree angle as you splatter a vertical tunnel on top of the one you've left on him before, creating a path to the surface that not even The Sea God could have predicted.
As you torpedo your way out the water, the merrows around catch each of you and help you get back onto the surface. Farnese and Schierke activate the runes you've left in order to redirect where the monster was falling. Casca carefully manages the shaking of the island as she impedes any large boulders from causing any disasters on Nostos. And with Serpico coming out of the monster's jaws unscathed, you almost refuse to believe how well this went, a sudden boost of confidence overwhelms you like you have never felt before.
Bask in your glory for the time being, count your victory! you've more than deserved the cheers that are heard from your team and the sailors at the Seahorse. You have conquered your fears of the deep blue sea, saved an entire island from the clutches off a giant monster that would put fear on even Ganishka and Griffith's apostle band, all the while not wasting a single innocent life.
The pegasus is finally freed, as the last tentacle coiled around it's clipped wings are cut down. You have broken the Santana curse. And you have yet to claim your prize at the bottom...
