They were fast and unwieldy, these Titans were. The Titans carried themselves through what was a monumental amount of gunfire in an attempt to reach the frontlines of the Titans they were fighting. It was a hard attempt, the distance between the two sides a rift apart, but still the Titans went for the kill lest they failed to saturate their foul gods.
Suddenly faced with the onslaught of the coming Titans those that served the Machine God locked their joints and began firing at the highest speed capable. Such attacks scorched the ground around them into a melting sludge of martian sand.
Normally such erratic attacks would have been useless to the defenders. Each of their aims being ruined by the prospect of melee combat that none of them wished to experience. This however was not the case, not when each of their aims were subtly changed and calculated by the will of the Omnissiah himself.
His will manifesting in the guns of the attacks, one of the Titans was brought down with several lapping fields of fire converging upon the single position that it had found itself in. The wreck slowly fell onto the ground, failing to explode unlike its Reaver fellow that had attacked it before. The others however made it to their targets and with a simple punch of its Arioch Power Claw cleaved into the torso of another Titan with a pair of talons like those of their ultimate master.
With a simple pull of its claw the Titan ripped the rest of the way through the body and removed whatever semblance of its quarry was with a flick of its hand.
Another in melee, the one who had been injured, attempted to slam its gun into the face of the Titan it was facing. Such an attack quickly led to a tussel as its pair began grappling at one another with their armed limbs. Simple to say, but when the weapons became active for the Loyalist he was able to shoot down his opponent with only minimal damage to himself.
As for the remainder who had challenged Particep Semper, they simply exploded as Proelitor Troops escaped from hull.
Half of the support force for Particep Semper was dead with that exchange, but as the last Warlord was gunned down by the other Titan it was now a much more even fight!
