Sounds like a nightmare family situation of not being unable to help a loved one and them choosing a horrifying way of escape. Satori, I believe, can represent the other side of a family member whose loved one disappeared one day. I also want to see Albert squirm and undergo character development regarding his thoughtless actions.
Also, do you guys not want to be a wizard slinging fireballs with one hand and the other delivering God's judgment through the barrel of a gun? Defeating opponents with both a mixture of trickery and magical might. Plus, I cannot pass up on the mental imagery of Albert fighting in some body of water, falling due to his wounds, and then rising out of the water healed and still willing to fight. The magic spells have been stated to grow stronger the longer we have them as well.
