>A, Observe Velvet (with Beta possibly tagging along)
Beta looks at the order you gave him about "tagging along with A" and instantly flinches. With a lot of hesitation, he leads Arthur over to the room in question.
"I am not entering that room unless it's to extract you. I am not fucking dealing with that thing right now." Beta grimaces at the containment cell door.
"Uh, okay sir!" Arthur quietly enters the containment cell.
The ceiling and floor where the anomaly sits at have been scorched a dark black.
Employee A wipes away at the sweat dripping from his brow.
A: Hoo. Okay, uh, Observe. Right.
He pulls out his notepad and begins scratching down his observations on the anomaly.
A: Burning hot in here. Even the Wastes aren't this bad.
To give credit where it's due, he's handling standing in what must be an oven remarkably well.
The anomaly cracks its head to stare vacantly at Employee A. He shutters at the stare down.
A: Hello?
It rasps out something barely audible over the crackling of fire. A scared, panicky whisper.
ANOMALY: I didn't want to be like this. I didn't deserve this. The fire is not mine.
Employee A doesn't respond. He keeps his focus on writing down notes, even if his face is turning beet red.
A bottle shatters. A scream echoes. A moment before the fire begins to spread.
ANOMALY: Is it safe here? Can I hide? Hide. Hide from. Yes, yes, I must.
ANOMALY: It is not safe out here. Stay with me. Be my guardian, I must be protected at all costs.
The charred figure stands up, a trail of purple fire erupting for a split second, before turning back to the regular yellow-orange.
Employee A steps away to keep his distance from the anomaly. He looks like he's about to faint any moment now.
A: Well, sorry for interrupting your peace. I'll be leaving now if you don't...
Employee A stumbles as he tries walking out of the containment cell, grabbing a hold onto the nearby wall. Sizzling flesh fills the air.
A: Fuck, fuck! I can't handle this shit anymore!
ANOMALY: Such uncouth language doesn't belong in my presence!
Before the heat can get any worse, he charges out of the containment cell and away from the heat.
ANOMALY: Disappointing.
ANOMALY: This is not what I was meant to be. Such a disgrace this world and I havebecome.
Beta shakes his head at Arthur. "Yeah. You see why I don't wanna fucking go in there, kid?" Arthur wheezes, barely able to get his breath back. He's drenched in sweat.
"Let's go." Beta escorts the sweating wretch away from the containment cell.
