He wants power, he wants revenge on the "5th Founder" who I assume is Merlin, for the Interdict weakening wizard kind and for quite possibly sealing him as well. He wants the Beast to use it, he wants the ancient magic to further his goals.
Unless you are saying he has a way of redirecting AK back towards us or our friends or something, which is unlikely.
I really think the end goal here, the only winning move, is to make it to the repository. He straight up said only 2 people can use it, us and him; it might be vile, but it seems like our only shot.
According to the visions, Lily is dead, but I am not 100% on that. Her soul might just be so shattered, it seems like she is gone completely. I want to believe if we can evict this asshole, either Ancient Magic or a lost civilization might be able to put her back together. It is a faint hope but still, I want to believe.
