>>5190690>“Yeah, I got this. But if you have any useful information to make this go better, I'd be grateful."“Smart, smart,” Anzu nods sagely. “I’d say make it something small but meaningful.”
“Small but meaningful?”
“Exactly,” Anzu nods again. “Koyama isn’t one for big parties – at least not for herself, but I always make sure to get her something, so she knows I remember. Well, she knows I know, but confirmation that I know and care, you know?”
“I know,” you reply, getting the gist of Anzu’s point. “Thanks for…letting me know.”
Anzu snorts and laughs, punching your arm before heading back inside.
>More land nav communication exercises and do your best to make them as challenging as possible.By the time you return, everyone is ready to go, and tanks are already rolling out after Anglerfish. You climb onto Werewolf, and the moment you’re on board, Max starts moving, taking the rear of the column as you approach the training area. It’s foggy today, and you can barely see the rear of the tank in front of you, but you soon make it, and the tanks begin to split up to start manouvering and navigating.
You’re about halfway through the exercise when you begin to hear the pop of guns and see the flashes of explosions about the place.
“I didn’t know you’d put targets out,” Miho hums as she listens to the radio chatter. “Or planted explosives to simulate misses.”
“I haven’t,” you reply with a frown.
“Well, you have to have done,” Miho replies, gesturing towards the radio. “Someone put out targets of a tank that we don’t have and detonated an explosive as Rabbit team passed.”
“Well, as I said, it wasn’t me,” you reply, frown deepening. There’s nothing from Rabbit team on the radio for a couple minutes before you see their tank burst out of the treeline, going far faster than it should have any right too. It shudders to a halt a couple meters away from you and all the Rabbits burst out of the tank. They promptly scramble towards yours, and into any open hatch they can find.
“Wha? Azusa, what’s going on?” You ask the miniature tank commander that’s wormed her way up to your position in the turret and is latched onto you.
“There’s a ghost tank!” She wails back. “We shot at it, and it went straight through! Then it shot back and almost took us out!”
>“Whatever it was, you probably just missed.”>“Ghosts aren’t real.”>“This isn’t an excuse to get out of training this morning, is it?”>Write-in>Attempt to hunt down the ghost tank to prove it’s nothing.>Continue as normal, don’t let it get in the way of training.>End training early today.>Write-in
