In a sudden burst of motion, the partition equalizes using its remaining blocks of memory. Everything goes back to normal speed, and you watch in horror as the fireball accelerates rapidly and obliterates the both of them. The act devastates the coolant yet again, freezing the partition and causing it to run slower than before. While you turn tail towards the door, you have plenty of time to mull over their death. Will there be anything left for servitors to restore? Maybe they have some kind of failsafe for humans. Otamamon is gone for sure, but just maybe there's some way for the Tamer to survive...
Unless DarkTyrannomon or the wild Digimon rip up the shreds of data and consume them. You have no way to stop that, it's already hard enough to escape in these conditions.
"N-N-NOO-O-OOOO!" Someone screams. Their voice is too distorted for you to identify.
"K-k-kKKK-KAUS- G-GA- KAUS- KAUS-GG-GAMM-MM-M-___ON! WE'RE'RE'RE GO GOING!"
The smaller Champions slowly break away from their foe, chugging bit by bit towards the exit. He gives chase, but with his immense size, he's falling prey to his own conflicting inputs. The fireballs prove to be the largest threat, sailing past them at one point and deleting the veggie Digimon who's slurping up Rookies.
It feels like an eternity before you reach the exit. One by one, the Dogs of War slip outside, while your Digimon try to make their way across the room. You, Wind, and Liza all stay behind for a bit longer, with Liza shoving the near catatonic Kunemon kid into Bella's arms.
"C-COME-ME-M ON!" You cry out, watching as Porcupamon sprints towards you. The malicious silhouette of Dark Tyrannomon rages in the back, failing to catch up to your team. He's not your only issue anymore. The VPN must be ticking down rapidly, thanks to how much the lag is stalling you. You'll have to sprint for the network as soon as you pass through the door.
Porcupamon's way is suddenly blocked by a spray of rubble. The big mole from before has emerged from under him, intent on claiming at least one prize. The lethal drill jabs at his neck, trying to separate his head from his body. With no means of dodging, your partner releases his energy and shrinks rapidly, returning to his Rookie form. The partition speeds up again, running smoother, but not quite at regular speed.
The empty thrust distracts the drill-mole, causing it to lose its balance. Wind aims his packet pistol and hits the bullseye, causing it to whirl around and face him, one beady eyeball bloodied and leaking static. Kaus Gammamon descends from above, delivering a deadly axe kick that splays out the mole, while Leomon crawls onto his back with his sword raised.
