>>5519127You wish to spend more time with Dorothea. She’s one of the closest things you have to a best friend, and you feel you should at least give her a proper goodbye. And while you’re at it, you don’t plan on visiting her alone either. Dorothea appears to still be serving on the field as a combat dancer. Perhaps if you bring Mina along with you, she can learn…something. After doing several laps around the barracks looking for the girl, you find that she had yet to wake up from bed.
>“Mina. Wake up. I want to introduce you to someone. She’s a dancer, like you.” You say, gently shaking the girl’s foot to try and wake her.The girl stirs, attempting to free her foot from your grasp. “W-what? Blair?” She groans. “Go away…there’s no point…and it’s super early.” She pulls her covers closer.
>“It’s half-passed noon, Mina.” You say, refusing to relent your grip. You look down and notice an empty wine bottle lying on the floor next to her bed. If you had to guess, she was nursing a hangover. “Have you been drinking?”“Mhmm.” You hear under the covers. “Go away.”
Well, this wouldn’t do. When your Commander gives you an order, you follow it. You pull on Mina’s foot, dragging her out of her bed.
“Ahhh!” She screams as she lands on the floor. “Where are you taking me?!”
>“Dancing class.”“Ugh! Why?! It’s totally pointless!” She frees herself from your grasp to stand up straight.
>“What’s with the sudden loss of confidence? This doesn’t seem like you.”“Ugh, it’s because of HIM!” She shouts, spitting on the floor. “That guy! The blonde one…with the…magic sword thing.”
>“Clay?”“Whatever! I thought he was super cute. Like…a total hunk! So, in the last battle, I wanted to support him. You know, he was fighting a lot of guys by himself, so I thought he could like…use a hand! But when I started dancing for him, do you know what he did?”
>“Wh-?”“He laughed!” She screeches, bringing a plethora of undue attention from those in the area your way. “He laughed at me! Right there in the middle of the Valley of Torment! He laughed so hard he didn’t even see an arrow shoot him in the back until it was too late. I mean, he was fine…but still! Isn’t that like totally rude?!”
>“It’s…certainly not nice…but I’m sure he appreciated yo-.”“Ugh! I’m so embarrassed! I just want to lay down and die. Hey you!” She shouts at Boleslav, who happens to be passing by with a fowl under one arm. “Why don’t you drop that chicken and kill me?!”
“Okay, that’s enough. We’re going to get you the help you need.”
You find Dorothea sitting on an isolated terrace overlooking the southern half of the monastery. As if sensing you, she turns around upon you and Mina’s arrival.
>“Blair! What a pleasant surprise. And who’s this you have with you?” Dorothea says.
