Apologies for the delay, had a busy morning.
>>5361073>>5361055>>5360991>>5360989>With the humans sufficiently captured, attempt to ask them...Look at you, a hulking sea monster able to go ten rounds with a whale. You're hardly one for conversation, but unfortunately you can only learn choking words from drowning humans, not their memories or knowledge. You'd much rather just kill and eat all these humans, but under the circumstances of still largely being in the dark after your untimely slumber, you suppose you'll have to step outside of your current if you want to get anywhere.
So then, time to try and play... nice sea monster, and be a good host to these humans even after you killed the rest of them earlier. Having pondered the matter enough, you get up from sitting and tower over the huddled bunch.
<span class="mu-b">"I want to talk with one who can understand me. Choose one of your own to speak for all of you, by the time I return... and if any of you think of escaping, you will suffer worse than those on the ship. Emil here will let me know."</span>
Trying your best, you express your terms to the captives. It's been about a month or so since you started supernaturally learning the language, so you know a good deal, it's just that you haven't had to address so many humans before when thus far you'd just talked with Emil here and there. It's clear to see though the effect your words have on the small crowd, but it seems they are astonished that you can even communicate in the first place.
Leaving Emil in "charge" then, you return to the sea for a short while to fetch something for everyone to eat.

<span class="mu-b">"H-Heeree ugh... hhave have anotherrr... morrre drrrink!'</span>
What started as just a fish-gathering trip got a little carried away, now resembling a party with the moon on high. Just food wasn't enough, the captives were parched after the shipwreck and in the late day sun, so you fetched those casks of "wine" you had stowed in your sea cave. Then with the sun setting was concern about warmth, so you went and kidnapped a couple nearby fishermen who had with them enough to get a fire going on the beach. All in an effort to placate the humans and make them more at ease with you... at least enough to talk.
The problem is you've never had human wine before, not really. You remember trying a splash amid your destroying of Atlantis, but this is different. At first you share the food and drink with the humans mostly as a gesture so they might be comfortable, not think anything is poisoned or what have you. The taste though... it's better than just seawater for all that you're used to, and an initial gulp... becomes an entire cask, then two, then five. It was just because you enjoyed the taste, but it seems you may have gotten carried away... these wretched humans have used sorcery to curse the drink! What a strange... but not unpleasant haze you find yourself in, affecting your mind and emotions.
