A sail was sighted north of us on the horizon, but was eventually lost in the small gathering of clouds. The winds were ambivalent today, at times blowing against us and at times hurrying us along.

The northern sail has not been sighted again, we may have left her behind as the winds improved. However, Benicio reports that he believes he saw sails heading away from us to the south. No one else could verify this, and I trust his eyes but the man admits it was far and away from a sure thing. According to him it could have been two ships with single sails, or one larger vessel with two masts.

The weather continues to hold, we passed a Cathagi tradesman heading north but they kept their distance and did not respond to our flag signals. This would be unusual behaviour for a Langlish or Cantônian vessel, but I am unperturbed by the behaviour of this Cathagi ship. Their captains can be personable enough on the shores, but wary of all while at sea. The writ of the Dragon offers scant practical protection out here.
The pilgrims held another service today, I have noticed one or two of the crew joining them lately.

In other matters, I am not much of a reader and have little material to share with our more gentlemanly passengers despite their requests. Nor is the little I have suitable for gentlemanly eyes either, the language barrier will do little to disguise the pictures. Instead the Storm Bear has had to content himself with questions of myself and other sailors during meals regarding our past visits to Cathagi. He is not the only one, many of the pilgrims are curious of the strange land not one of them have seen before. I have shared what knowledge I have, but I doubt even my verbose descriptions will quite capture the first sight of the Crescent Palace sprawled over that ancient metropolis like a, well, a dragon on its hoard of gold. I am quite hilarious at time.
