You manage to slide Gungnir into Mercedes’ chest, only for her to repel you back upon activating her Rafail Gem. You are sent flying, while Ingrid passes you in a fury.
“This should have never happened to you.” Ingrid cries as she stabs down at her former friend. “I swear to you, I’ll kill the bastard that did this! I swear it on my life, they will not escape justice!!”
>Ingrid (Luin): 30x2 = 60 DMG>Mercedes (Rafail Gem): 82, 39)Mercedes: (5/100 HP)
Ingrid’s own Hero’s Relic cuts through the barrier of the Rafail Gem, slashing both arms off of the corpse warrior. Still standing, Mercedes can seemingly do nothing to fight back. All she can do is stand there, bleeding black ooze and responding to the pull of the Rafail Gem. Diana attacks her from behind, only to be repulsed back by the Gem’s activation. You didn’t think this corpse could recognize what just happened though. Her head flies off when the gem fails to activate a second time, and Diana mercifully secures the kill.
>Mercedes: (0/100 HP)“You shall NOT breach these walls, heathen scum!” Bennett shrieks. “I call upon the awesome might of Maculi, honored Saint of Seiros! Cast these heretics out into the darkness, where they may languish for all eternity! Wind Caller’s Genesis!”
You lay eyes on the blasting powder that was left by the door, hoping to light it and blow the door to the tower off. Before you can do so though, you sense a powerful presence suddenly appearing from above. A strong gust of wind begins blowing across the bridge. Stronger than even Forseti. Beathan tries his hardest to stay afloat but is slowly being pushed back against his will. You can barely make out the screaming of your comrades over the fierce gales. Quickly enough, all of you are sent hurtling back across the bridge. Were it not for your comrades being there to serve as a bulwark, you feared you might have been sent flying even further.
“What the hell is this wind?!” You can barely make out Ingrid screeching. Even now, the Blackwings struggle to maintain their balance, and are in danger of being pushed off the bridge completely.
“Ordelia! Heed your master’s call! Repel these invaders! Leave nothing but ash in your wake!” Bennett cries.
This time, only one corpse warrior appears ahead of you on the bridge, seemingly unaffected by the mysterious fierce gales that Bennett summoned. This was the girl you’d promised to save, only to have ended up abandoning at Gronder. Lysithea von Ordelia stood ahead of you, a book in her hand. Her two crests activated, and you suddenly felt a massive pressure emanating from her. She was casting a spell. One that had the power to seal your doom.
