>>5540855https://youtu.be/wfL-_n9pJZsYou need to keep stalling. But… well, “…Prince Beelzebub, I know this isn’t a good look, but I don’t think they’re going to give a better offer than that. I don’t know if I can agree with it, but please, think it over. Work out the details with them.”
He closes his eyes and crosses his arms, thinking hard. “All right. Let’s hear the details. What would this entail?”
“A territory would be set up for you and your followers, while I would regain my throne. It would not be splitting the realm in half, but enough that you and your followers would have some room. More importantly, it would prove to be a better test for your eventual, true ascension to the throne.” Dabura explains. “I do not intend to disinherit you, son, should you agree to this.”
“Okay, are you going to set this anywhere specific, or is it shoving him to the proverbial devil’s toilet?” Keli asks.
“I thought that was here on Earth…” Beelzebub mumbles. “Actually, she raises a good point. I want to be able to pick a location.”
Dabura nods. “I’m listening.”
The Demon Prince points in the direction of… a large set of doors. “The entrance to the Demon Realm here. That’s going to be the core.” Finally he’s gotten a streak of confidence back.
You grin at him. That wouldn’t be a bad idea, not much distance to travel if he needs to pop up on Earth and warn everyone of them doing anything bad. And that makes you wonder about something. “So… I’ve been meaning to ask, but Makaioshin aside, what does the ‘revival’ of the Demon Realm really entail? Just fixing the piping in the realm, putting energy back to use, unifying things and put back to how it was when you were in charge, Dabura, or is there something else to it?”
“In essence, yes. The Demon Realm will no longer be the dull, stagnant realm it is currently. New demons will be able to properly come into being, and the universe’s negative energy will properly flow down to it.” Dabura answers… yet there’s something in how he says it that implies it isn’t the full story. “And is there any particular reason you choose that location, son?” he questions next.
“It’s quite obvious. As obvious as it is boring.” Towa answers for him. “He thinks he can keep you in check by being a reminder that he can tattle to those who would find your rule objectionable. Just like this one here.” She gestures towards you dismissively. “How predictable.”
