“Is there a reason you wanted to meet both of us here today?” Dorn asked as he brought himself back into the conversation with a powerful voice.
“Yes there was, I wanted to talk to my seniors of the Crusade about their experiences. From what I have heard both of you had good records for making worlds compliant.” Guilliman admitted as his eyes went from one brother to the other and back again, “If there was something that I am missing from what I have heard from both of you, I would want to know it.”
“Seeking out the facts.” Dorn said as he gave a small smile, “It is an honorable persuit and I will answer as many of your questions as you can ask.”
“I say the same. From what I understand from our Father you are pursuing the building of your own realm similar to mind. As Rogal says, there is honor in that.” TalOS pointed out with a small bit of cheer before as he spoke his other half, “But I do not wish for this to be one sided. Without feedback how do we know we are understanding one another?”
“That is… understandable.” Admitted Roboute as Dorn simply gave a nod to the words that TalOS spoke, “From the research I did I noticed that your Federation has an unusual quantity of peaceful integration. Only the Imperial Fists will rival you in that quantity.”
TalOS did not need to think about it too hard to answer what it was, “That is mainly the use of the Mechanicum’s knowledge and techno sorcery in order to gain an advantage over the natives. When Old Night was upon humanity luxuries like rejuvenation treatments had been lost to the void. The Mechanicum can bring it back to the people, for a Price.”
“A take and receive, I see.” Guilliman began to think.
“Such tactics are hard to replicate.” Rogal Dorn announced first and foremost as he glanced at TalOS, “Is it not the government that you host also an additive.”
TalOS looked at Dorn with a small sense of confusion as he replied, “You are correct. Such was the reason a great many colonies from during the days of the Federation attempted to break off. By not giving their vassals any leverage upon Terra those vassals felt they were ignored.”
“You give them a piece of yourself when they agree to join you.” Rogal pointed out as he hit the nail on the head, “Such a thing is not what the Imperium can allow. For we have an Emperor, not a President.”
