The next venture I decided I would tackle would take me on a short trip across Siegesia today, to the west. I went close to the capital of Woldoria, the City of Goats. Geitlandsbyen Grand City.
I was to go alone once more, as I hadn't now was the time to regroup with my friends and comrades, but when I was leaving the Bunker, I was surprised to see Eskart there. The Worldwide Wizard had come to join me, all because of a stray future vision he glimpsed that he insisted I'd need his help with. It came as a welcome surprise. He asked me where I headed now. I told him that today I was going to at last meet and see about the divine fae herself. Demharugh. The maid of the Lady Eikn. He instructed me as we traveled, of how Fae were magical creatures. Magical creatures bound to a slavish impulse.
I had known this already. I'd heard from Hale and Eikn herself about the Fairy condition. The one that gripped them, drove them over the edge when they couldn't fulfill it. When a Fairy did not have a master to serve, they went slowly insane.
I offhandedly compared the condition to the likes of Dite, who I had met only a day prior, when talking about her to Eskart. He seemed intrigued, and puzzled about the Angel of Woldoria. But ultimately, he said that he would not compare Dite to Demharugh. For one, if Dite's own account was to be believed, then she was not suffering from anything at all, she were merely... existing, without point. So she was pointless. She had no purpose. But Fairies like Demharugh, they could have purposes. Their self given purposes was seeking someone to serve, which if they could not fulfill...
When I first heard of Demharugh and her name, I would have never understood her problem. I would have never known a fix. But since my encounter with the Machine God, and my gaining of knowledge on the disembodied force of Chaos driving everything, I had an idea. I could sniff it out easily and diagnose the true cause of the Fairy condition. I sought to fix it... somehow... I'm glad Eskart was with me, I'd need his help. So together, we went before Lady Eikn at the highest boudoir of Geitlandsbyen where she ruled as High Queen and we asked where or if we might find Demharugh. We had to ask, as the Maid of the Houses was normally secluded in the Hall of Woldor that we could not reach yet. Eikn was pleased to see my eagerness to help, and so she told us where Demharugh went.
