>>5309768The Margrave is pacing back and forth on the dais he was standing upon, looking shaken. “Where’s my bloody squire?!” He suddenly shouts, startling you. A non-descript boy who had been sitting in the corner of the room taking notes nearly falls off his chair. “Send riders to the Margraves of Gautier, Galatea, Fraldarius and Conand. Fhirdiad, as well, Lord Rufus must be aware of this. Our fears regarding the fate of the monastery are worse than we could have ever expected. Inform them of the contents of our conversation here today and tell them that they must ready themselves for war. Do it, now!”
The scribe jumps off his chair, tripping on the way out and falling flat on his face. The Margrave calls after him. “And send more of our damn scouts to Garreg Mach! The Prince must be found and escorted back safely! Hurry, damn you, lest I beat you bloody!” The squire quickly scrambles out of the room. The Margrave continues pacing back and forth, before punching a hole through his desk, sending dozens of papers scattering about. “By the Goddess, those damned Adrestian blackhearts! I’d see them all put to the sword for this treachery!”
>You give Corrine a nervous look, beginning to wonder if this was worth it. “I-is there anything else you would request, your grace?”“Thunderstrike Cassandra.” He booms out. “Was she still by the Archbishop’s side?”
>“Lady Catherine? I-I believe so. We did not see her either. I’ve fought by her side a few times before though. Knowing her, that’s likely where she would be.” You say, unsure as to why he’d be interested in Catherine’s fate.“Of course. Of course.” He takes a deep breath. “Forgive my outburst. We knew something terrible had befallen the monastery, but we had no idea of the specifics. This…Edelgard. To send Demonic Beasts against the very center of our faith…she is the devil herself. I thank you for bringing us this news, Blair and Corrine. I understand the two of you have nowhere to go. You are both welcome to stay here as long as you like. Truth be told, I may have use for your skills. Two graduates of Garreg Mach who have been through as much as you have would be worth a dozen soldiers each.”
>A): Offer to support Margrave Charon>B): Politely decline, it may be best to not involve yourself.
